My Signatur stand at the
Australasian Quilt Convention
Brisbane, Australia May 2022
I haven't been to Brisbane for 20 years and had an absolutely fabulous time. Everyone was excited about being together face-to-face again and the convention centre and surrounding bars and restaurants in Southbank are constantly alive with action. My colourful wraps, cowls and hats were snapped up, while every kit and every ball of wool found a new home. The attendees appreciation of handmade and natural fibre was heartening and encouraging, with many of my new designs seeing the first light of day anywhere due to COVID. As a result of your support, Brissy, we'll all be seeing more Signatur Handknits around Brisbane, the Gold and Sunshine coasts, Emerald, Toowoomba, Longreach and many towns in between.
I may have also recruited a few new knitters for my team!
Try before you knit - 25 designs:
each with colourways and sizes
If you have a particular design you'd like to try please email  Jane before the show so I can ensure I bring the design with me.

Fan & Cable Cardigan

The Fan pattern is a favourite of mine and yours too: it's just such classic styling - with a twist! You can see (below right and centre) the hemline splits where each side is edged with a cable; these come together to create the Crab Claw Cable.

The Blue Jacket is a little different to standard. The neck band is slightly deeper so it turns back very nicely. This particular garment arrived in the studio the day before the photoshoot and I could see the sleeve wouldn't be long enough for Meg, so I simply added a cuff and a button.

These are two new colours: Fleck Mustard & Fleck Denim
The Fan and Cable Swagger

What's the difference between the Fan & Cable Swingcoat style left and the Fan & Cable Swagger below?

The swingcoat is full from the shoulder, whilst the centre shot below of the Swagger shows the high waisted fit, creating a cardigan fit over the shoulders, with fullness in the skirt of the swagger.
The same shaping technique is applied to both styles: decreases are worked into the patterns of panels between the cables. The Fan pattern remains consistent, whilst the number of stitches between the Fan and the Cable decrease from hem to shoulder.

The Fan & Cable Swagger has a shawl collar which is knitted as one with each front, so there's very little finishing once the pieces are knitted. There are five chest sizes: petite to XXL with a round neck option and a longer length option.
