STITCHES are amazing knitting/ fibre event in the US hosted by, my publisher XRX, and publishers of Knitter's Magazine.
Simple Intarsia
Sydney 2 hour session: Sun 7th Feb.
Sydney Noon to 2pm - so pm the day before in the US US CT 2 hour session: Sat 6th 7pm to 9pm
XRX is very familiar with my designs and published my book in 2009, I taught with them over 15 years at shows in the USA.
So, from my Sydney studio, I will be stepping you from simple vertical stripes to working from a graph. The second sample also includes casting in three sections of colour, allowing stripes to be worked from the cast on edge of the garment.
I trained in the UK in fashion textiles, working with both woven fabric and knit fabric, so I think like a dressmaker, creating my fabric as I knit, adjusting my knit fabric with larger needles for swing and drape, or smaller needles to support the garment and fit the shoulder.
The class is Sat 6th February 7 pm to 9pm in the USA = AM the following day in Sydney Sun 7th February noon to 2pm.
