Design: Trellis Cable Instructions: This design is knitted from three large A3 graphs in black-and-white which are bold and easy to follow. The colours on the graph are given as symbols per area of colour. Knitted in stocking stitch from graphs: each square of the graph is a stitch. The graph also shows decreased stitches to be worked to shape the coat. As with many of Jane's designs the styling and shaping is quite unique and extremely rewarding.
Technique: Intarsia
Tension: 22.5sts to 10cm om 4mm ndls
Notes/Tips/Tricks: Intarsia and Fairisle. Knitted in Intarsia apart from small areas of colour can be worked as Fairisle carrying the main color behind the stem of the vine. It is a challenge to most knitters to carry yarn without puckering, but it's quite easy over 1 and 2 stitches. Main color may also be carried behind some smaller areas of color, avoid too many rows, as carrying can change the tension.
