New Yarns for 2016

Sadly, earlier this year my wonderful Mother Sheila passed away. ..
Many of you knew Sheila as she was my right hand person at shows from Sydney to Canberra and Melbourne. Mum was always there to help, like being my cabin mate on Vogue's Knitting Cruise when I was teaching alongside Brandon Mabley: I think that was 2005. In 2009 she joined me at Santa Clara in California for the launch of my book Swing, Swagger, Drape.
Left is a self protrait, which is part of the family collection, as is/was the tradition since the time of King Henry VIII. I am working on Sheila's own book, as those of you who sometimes had a coffee with Sheila at a shows will know, Sheila always had a story to share.
Indeed Sheila has a web page, sheila-slicer.com which I have as always to thank my wonderful husband Brett, for creating - it's now up to me to add content - so don't hold your breath!

Purchasing patterns of 2014 designs
New designs remain as knitting kits for about 2 years. I still take these garment designs to shows, and they can still be purchased as knitting kits. Indeed when you buy a pattern you can use that purchase price as a credit against a kit of the same design.

So, the pattern for the Diamond Cable swing $65 - kit $215 - then the pattern credit of $65 = $150 for the yarn and buttons.

www.sigknit.com was designed to sell garments and kits - so to order a pattern you still need to select a colour/ colourway! Confusing I know! You can always email or call the studio 02 9453 9091 - or if you are in Sydney come and try on a few garments - if I am home the studio is open!

Re Mastering

The Blocks Cardigan is one of my all-
time bestsellers with all ages, it is retro - so eighties! For a long time it's been the round neck cardigan style with endless colourways. I have re styled Blocks with a feature pocket, button back and collar, finished as always with handmade buttons.
I hope these will be up on the site soon - but just in case here are the colourway ID numbers!
