| Thanks for your comments at Darling Harbour... |
The Quilt Fair at Darling Harbour was wonderful, as always, but I have two comments to pass on.
The first from a friend who was helping me at the show - "All your customers were so lovely it wasn't like working! And what a unique business you have!" Yes, and I count my blessings...
The second, an email from a customer who discovered Signatur Handknits at the show.
"I purchased my very first garment at the show - I have never been so pleased with an item before. Every time I wear my cardigan casually or dress it up I get compliments. It is difficult to purchase garments that complement all body shapes , but you do it with such style. THANK YOU"
And thank you! |
Wave Length Scarf...
...short row shaping creates wedges of colour |
Tonalita does all the work for you with my new Wave Length Scarf. The yarn has been dyed as the fluff, creating a long colour variation not achieved when dyeing yarn in the hank. The scarf is knitted on 8mm ndls. Short rows - these are incomplete rows, creating wedges.
Each RS (right side) row 1 less stitch is worked, until just 7sts are being knitted, the following RS row the full row is worked again. No stitches on stitch holder, no picking up stitches. At the same time - don't you love it when patterns say that! - end of wrong side rows a stitch is made, x 4 WS rows - then 4 sts are cast off this creates the zig zag edge.
